Marcus Arvad Christiansen
Key Account Manager
What is your role at Mileage Book?
I am a Key Account Manager in the sales department. Here I help acquire new customers and ensure that our current customers are happy and satisfied. I started at Mileage Book as an intern in connection with a business economist education. During Mileage Book's growth journey, I have also grown in my role and have been given more and more responsibility.
What makes working at Mileage Book special?
I personally think it is great that we as an organization have the opportunity to help and work with many different customer groups. This provides some exciting projects. Some needs are relatively standard and easier to get the right deal with. Others require us to use our various competencies in-house to create an implementation plan, development plan, installation, etc. It is an exciting process to start from my chair.
How would you describe the culture?
The culture is youthful, but with experience on the team. Despite different hobbies, work tasks and ages, we bring all employees in the organization together for joint events where everyone can join in and hopefully also find it enjoyable.
What is the most exciting project you have worked on?
Uh, it's hard to say, because there are many different projects that can do something different. But I think it's really cool when long-term work with customers is successful. Fortunately, we have several good examples of our customers continuously expanding their collaboration with Mileage Book - both through growth and the acquisition of more of our products. The ongoing dialogue and discussion to ensure Mileage Book is as current as possible is probably "the project" for me.
What is the best thing about your team and the collaboration here?
My team is the sales and marketing team. The best thing here is the ongoing sparring and openness about things. We always have a good idea of who is working on what and when something is expected of each other. The collaboration in the team is close and very flexible. There is more or less a smooth transition from lead generation in marketing to us in sales, as the tools we use are similar and integrated into everyday life.
What would you say to someone who is considering applying for a job with us?
Well, if you want to work in an IT company with speed and a completely flat organization, I think Mileage Book is a great option. We have a lovely everyday life in the office with a good and really relaxed atmosphere, where all employees including managers participate. Our office hostess treats us to lunch, cleaning, etc. so we just have to take care of our work.
