Mileage Book take your personal information serious
As part of your agreement with Mileage Book, you are automatically included in our data processing agreement. Here you can read how we relate to personal data at Mileage Book. You can also see the data sub-processors we work with.
It also gives you a guarantee that we handle your personal information in a responsible, confidential and appropriate way.
We handle and use only information entered by the user to create accounts and give you and your company’s employees access to the Mileage Books system, as well as to send updates about news and features on a regular basis.
We only handle common personal information such as:
- Name
- Address
- E-mail address
- Phone number
- Licence Plate Number
- Salary number
- GPS – coordinates
What rights does GDPR give?
Following the Personal Data Regulations you have a number of rights related to how we retain and use information about you. The GDPR gives you the confidence that we will keep your personal data secure and confidential and that you your information will be released to you and completely deleted on our systems the day we stop our partnership. Rights include:
Right to view your information (Rights to Insight) and correct information (Rights to Correction)
You can at any time view all your data entered on our platform and correct or update the information.
Right to delete your data
You always have access to deleted information. We keep your personal information for up to 3 months after the end of the subscription. If you have a FREE account and have been inactive for 12 months, we will delete your account and your personal information.
Right to limit treatment
You may, in certain cases, have the right to restrict the use of your personal information.
Right to object
You may in certain cases object to our otherwise legitimate use of your personal information
The right to move with your information when our agreement expires (data portability)
You can always export all your registered trips and access your mileage logbook anytime.
New general legislation for GDPR
GDPR raises the standard for how we will handle your personal data in the future. Mileage Book has so far and will continue to prioritise high levels of security as it relates to the protection of your personal data.
The new personal data regulation allows us to increase our focus on transparency so you can always be safe and easily find information about what we use your data for in the Mileage Book.
We keep nothing hidden and what we use your personal data for, you will find either in our data processing agreement or data policy that is freely available.
At Mileage Book we see the Personal Data Regulation as a welcomed standard, which will clearly raise the level of personal data security.
